Shoveling

More snow means more chances to train the kids to shovel. Quinn's excuses of 1. not being able to stand up and 2. being smaller than the shovel worked so he stayed inside. But Meg didn't get off so easily. Hopefully next year she'll be able to shovel the whole driveway by herself. ;)

Give Me Food!

Son, I don't think you're ready for pizza quite yet. Maybe next month.

Can't you just hear Quinn thinking, "Give me that food Daddy!"

Cold Wintery Days

Snow has come to Columbus, big time. This is our second blizzard in a week. We have at LEAST 2 feet. I haven't gone to work in over a week!
Here's the view from the front door. Notice the shrubs buried under all the snow.

The view from the back door. The snow is so high even Cameron has trouble walking through it. In some areas it's up to his chest! And he's not a small dog. If he stand on his hind legs he can look me in the eye.

Here's what Megan and I do when we're snowed in - BAKE COOKIES!

Quinn decided he needed to be included too. Notice the drool marks on the carrier. The boy drools like it's going out of style.

Here's what Quinn does on a snowy day, well on any day really, try to shove anything and everything into his mouth.

Successful Solids

Quinn started eating solids. Being the weird mommy that I am I totally pass over cereal and go straight for the good stuff - bananas. To say he loved them would be an understatement. He kept grabbing the spoon and got mad when I took it away to get more. By the time we were done Q was so excited by them he grabbed the container, and started sucking/licking every last banana bit out.
Hmmm....what's this?

Ooh...yummy. Give me more.

" NO, I'm going to feed my brother not you. Quinn wants me!"

Crazy Early

Quinn sitting ...during the first week.
.
Quinn is sitting up - at only 4 months. How can he be sitting up before he's even eaten any solids? Apparently, my kids like to do things crazy early. I mean this literally came out of nowhere. Megan was born holding her head up so it didn't come as surprise when she sat up at 4 months. Of course, with Meg I was a first time mom and naively wanted her to do everything early. That was before I knew how crazy mobile kids could be. Quinn was following a much more normal curve so I thought I had months yet. I guess this isn't first time Q's surprised me nor will it be the last.

Uh ooh... I hope this doesn't mean that Quinn's going to become mobile early too because I don't think I can handle 2 running around any time soon. 2 is seriously kicking my butt right now.

Megan is so proud of her little brother.
